This is a test i did,sim and render in just 4 or 5 hours,the quality ist not amazing because it's a test and the river was juts an Obj i downloaded somewhere,the UV are messed but the main thing in this test was a dirty river,shading and lighting approaches.
Main Fluid, mantra surface with some adjustement (velocity and curl )
