Description de la vidéo

To be honest, I thought that analogue FM broadcast technology had reached the end of its possibility for further development. But as more FM networks are built in Africa, often in remote areas, ways are being examined to feed these transmitters in other ways than via satellite. Internet is getting fast enough in some areas that feeding the transmitter with content, often trickle charging the content overnight rather than trying to do it live, is becoming a serious option. I note that FM transmitters are also becoming a lot cheaper and more reliable. I'm convinced that this sort of technology is part of radio's hybrid future.
